Why you should check out White cliffs of Dover?

Although I’m not a big fan of women romance books (...okay I’m lying. I so am!), I’ve been known from time to time to pick some up. And while working in a store, sappy romance books where a great way how to make time past by more quickly. So once, in great need of escape from boredom, I stumble upon Karen Robards historical romance book “Irresistible”, which was about some women who, while running away from her husband, managed to get kidnapped!!! (Talk about shitty luck.) But at least all of this happened in very pictures place with white cliffs and a view to France. So imagine my surprise, when just a few months later I ended up in that exact place! One friend, promising a stunning view, drove us there, and he did not disappoint. The White cliffs of Dover was as white as the name proclaim them to be, and although in a book was said that from the cliffs you can see France, which is just 34km away, I saw nothing but the water... although my eyesight is not the best, so who knows, maybe it was there.

So why should you go check it out? Well, first of all, as I already mention, the view is stellar! You can not only see France, if the weather’s been nice to you and your eyesight is not as shitty as mine, but also The Port of Dover, which is Europe's busiest ferry port. It’s a great place for a hike, picnics, cute selfies and a calming lay-down. So go and check it out!

Ou and also, In Second World War Churchill commanded to build a labyrinth beneath White Cliffs of Dover - “Fan Bay Deep Shelter”, which where reopen to public in 2015. I don’t know about you, but to me, being able to walk the tunnels, that were part of Britain’s defence in that time, seems pretty cool.
